I have been using this business for pest control for number of years after having a number of other pest control companies failing to ensure unwanted inserts and spiders were not around our place. They seem to have the environmental toxic free products and satisfy the pest problem and it seems to last the year. Highly recommend this business would not consider another pest business. Valued customer.

Real Estate Property Manager. Prior to the introduction I had used other companies who did not offer the same professional service I attained from these guys. No job was too small or too big and they were always contactable and were able to attend to the job quickly. The quality of their service and the work performed is second to none. I have used the company for my own family needs as well and I will never again use another company for my pest control needs.

Termite Treatment & Protection

In Australia it is common for termites to be referred to as ‘white ants’. These are insect pests which can cause extensive damage to structures and homes in Cornwallis every year, making termite control so vital.

Termite Removal

There are several potential treatments for termites, so let’s look at each briefly. There are two main strategies conducted for termite control: one is the complete eradication of the colony with baiting, and second is with chemical treatments to create a barrier between the home and the termites. Contact us today for additional information on the costs associated with various treatment options.

In Cornwallis, chemical treatments are the more frequently applied management strategy to eradicate white ants. However, interception and baiting for colony eradication has its’ own advantages that should not be dismissed.

It is of great importance to engage the services of an experienced termite exterminator to check over your home in order that the damage can be fully assessed.

Chemical Treatments For Termites

Repelling Chemicals

Termites can find these chemicals easy to detect and a good deterrent, which makes them ideal for offering good protection to all treated areas. Unfotunately however, if areas are compromised later on, or if access is a problem and not all areas are treated, white ants may identify these gaps and could potentially gain access.

The commonly used repellent chemical is Bifenthrin, which has a residual lifetime of as much as 5 years.

Non Repellent Chemicals

These chemicals aren’t identifiable by the termites. Given they do not avoid the chemical, they pass through the chemical and die as a result of coming into contact with it. They may also pass the chemical to other colony members they come into contact with, thus creating a compounding result.

As termites are not able to identify these non-repellents, they identify no difference between areas which are treated and the ones which are not, so there is likely to be reduced ingress through gaps.

A frequently used non repellent is Fipronil, which has a residual life of up to 8 years.

Great company, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and awesome results. Called Andrew and let him know what we were seeing. Andrew was wonderful, helped me determine what type of creepy crawlers we had in our home and was able to get someone out really quick. Adam came out to treat our apartment for cockroaches and from start to finish I was super impressed. Adam was friendly, answered all my questions, and gave me some insight and tips to help with our problem. They are a reliable and effective company who I won't hesitate to call again! Highly recommend.

Baiting Systems For Termites

Above Ground Systems may be used to eliminate termites from houses by placing bait stations at the site of activity, so they begin to feed on the bait matrix instead of the timber they were consuming. Worker white ants then feed the bait to other colony members and so a compounding effect is achieved.

In this way, the entire termite nest will be eliminated, even if you do not know the actual location of the colony. The bait stations continue to be monitored and assessed, so that they can be added, rebaited and/or moved in response to the observed results.

While In-Ground Systems are utilised in a similar way, they are typically installed around the property to provide an early warning and interception system. Systems such as these are particularly useful where the home design means that a robust perimeter barrier is difficult to install.

Baiting System Advantages

  • Flexible protection against white ants
  • Not influenced by weather conditions
  • Safe for use around kids and pets
  • Environmentally friendly

The Telltale Indications Of Termite Infestation

I had Benjamin come to our place on Monday because I was worried we had a spider problem. He identified a major funnel web spider situation. Benjamin was so thorough and considerate because I was very scared having three small children. He went above and beyond to make sure he spent as much time as needed to treat every single spider hole in our yard. He has arranged to come back in 2 weeks time just to make sure we are all safe for the Christmas period. So grateful for all his help. Highly recommend!

Ben is an absolute gentleman. Extremely polite and courteous and was very thorough in his work. He even took the time to explain different aspects of his job and the various insects and how he gets rid of them. Absolute champion. Hoping this will be the start of a long relationship with Andrew and his team. Cheers.

Extremely happy with the services provided, we had a very knowledgeable technician Sean came to attend to the possum issue in our townhouse, Sean found the openings where the possums came in on the roof right away and patched them up. When the previous pest control company failed to do. But being a two level building with a separated garage roof, it was very difficult to trap the possums still inside, but Andrew the boss and Sean kept trying and finally got the problem all solved. Friendly to talk to and easy to work with so Highly recommended.
